How we ask permission to text you

Script version 2026-08-14.1 · Consider It Done Contracting LLC, trading as Colorado Trade Leads

Colorado Trade Leads is missed-call response software used by licensed Colorado trade contractors — HVAC, plumbing, electrical and roofing companies. If you call one of them and nobody picks up, we can text you so your job doesn't disappear into a voicemail box.

We do not text you for calling. You are asked, on that call, and you have to press a key to say yes. If you press nothing, or press anything else, or hang up, no message is sent and no record of you is kept. We never buy, rent or license phone numbers, and we send no marketing texts to consumers.

Every word our phone system speaks is printed below, exactly as it is spoken. This page is generated automatically from the same file the phone system reads, so it cannot fall out of date.

What happens, step by step

1
You dial a contractor's published business number.
2
Before the call connects, you hear the first line below. Then the contractor's phone rings.
3
If they answer, that is the end of it. Nothing is sent, and nothing is recorded.
4
If nobody answers, you hear the offer below and are asked to press 1.
5
Press 1 and we record your number, the time, and the phone call's own ID, then send one text. Anything else, and nothing happens.

The words, verbatim

1 · Before you are connected
“Thanks for calling [Business Name], using Colorado Trade Leads. If we can't reach you, we'll offer to send you a text message so we can help. Message and data rates may apply.”
2 · If nobody answers — this is the opt-in
“Sorry, [Business Name] can't take your call right now. If you'd like a text message from [Business Name] so we can find out what you need and get you booked in, press 1 now. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. If you'd rather not receive a text, just hang up.”
3a · If you press 1
“Thank you. We are sending that text now. Goodbye.”
3b · If you press anything else, or nothing at all
“No problem, we will not text you. Please call back any time. Goodbye.”

“[Business Name]” above is spoken as the actual trading name of the contractor you dialled — for example, “Sorry, Pikes Peak Heating and Air can't take your call right now.”

What we record when you press 1

One entry, written before the text is sent:

{
  "phone": "the number you called from",
  "client_id": "which contractor you were calling",
  "business_name":  "their trading name",
  "call_sid": "the telephone carrier's own ID for that call",
  "digits":         "1",
  "method":         "ivr_keypress",
  "script_version": "2026-08-14.1",
  "at": "the timestamp, to the second"
}

The call_sid ties the record to the call itself in our telephony provider's independent logs, so the consent can be checked against a third party's records rather than only our own.

What you get, and how often

MessageWhat it is
First reply“Hi, this is [Business Name]. Sorry we missed your call — what can we help you with? Reply STOP to opt out.”
ConversationBack and forth to understand the job and find a time. Typically 5–15 messages.
AppointmentConfirmation and reminders, if a visit is booked.
One follow-upA day or two later, checking you were looked after.

Message frequency varies with the conversation. There is a hard cap of 30 messages per enquiry, and we only send between 8am and 9pm in your local time. Message and data rates may apply. We charge you nothing.

Stopping

Reply STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT to any message. Plain English — “stop texting me”, “take me off” — works too. You get one confirmation and then nothing further, permanently, across every contractor on the platform, including if you call again months later. Reply START to resume. Reply HELP or INFO for contact details.
