SMS Terms

Why you got a text

You called a Colorado contractor — an HVAC company, plumber, electrician, roofer or similar — and they didn't pick up. Their phone system uses Colorado Trade Leads to send you a reply by text, usually within about a minute, so your enquiry doesn't disappear into voicemail.

The message comes from that contractor's business. We only ever text a number that has just called one of our customers. We do not send marketing texts to people who have not contacted us first, and we do not buy or use purchased phone lists.

What you'll receive

Message typeWhat it is
Initial reply"Hi, this is [contractor]. Sorry I missed you — what can I help you with?"
ConversationAI-assisted texts to understand the job and find a time. Typically 5–15 messages back and forth.
Appointment messagesConfirmation and reminders, if a visit gets booked.
One follow-upA day or two later, checking you were looked after.
ReactivationAt most 3 messages over 90 days if the conversation was never resolved.

Frequency depends on the conversation. There is a hard cap of 30 messages per enquiry, and we only send between 8am and 9pm in your local time.

What it costs

We don't charge you anything. Message and data rates may apply from your carrier.

How to stop

Reply with any of these

STOP STOPALL UNSUBSCRIBE CANCEL END QUIT

Plain English works too — "stop texting me", "take me off", "remove me" and similar phrases are all treated as an opt-out.

You'll get one final confirmation message, then nothing further. Three things worth knowing about how we handle this:

If you change your mind, reply START and texting resumes.

Getting help

Reply HELP or INFO and we'll text you the contractor's contact details. You can also reach us at support@coloradotradeleads.com or (719) 259-0604.

Your information

We store your phone number and the content of these messages only as long as needed to handle the enquiry, to a hard maximum of 18 months, after which it is purged. We do not sell it. We do not share it with anyone other than the specific contractor you called. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular and most regional carriers.

Who is responsible

The contractor whose business sent the message is the party you are dealing with — they do the work and they hold the customer relationship. Colorado Trade Leads provides the messaging system on their behalf and is responsible for how the messaging itself operates, including honouring your opt-out.

Colorado residents

These messages are replies to an enquiry you initiated by calling the business. They are not telemarketing or unsolicited commercial texts, and we do not text numbers that have not contacted us. If you believe you received a message in error, reply STOP and contact us — we will investigate and tell you what happened.
